The parish of Curral das Freiras will receive, on Saturday, from 6:30 p.m., the traditional songs of the Kings, at an event organized by the local People’s House and which will bring together invited groups from various parishes.
The groups will once again fulfill the tradition of this festive season on stage, in an event open to the public, and which “makes known to the local community and also to those who visit us the most varied ways of singing the kings, concentrating in a single a variety of ‘songs’ that have been kept from generation to generation. ”
The House of the People of Curral das Freiras, entity organizer of this initiative, has already added 24 editions – will have this Saturday the 25th -, and has been one of the promoters of this tradition, not only in the parish of Curral das Freiras but also throughout remembering that this was the first entity to organize the Festival of Singing Kings on stage in 1994.
