REGIONAL GOVERNMENT PROVIDES 600 NEW BUILDINGS IN THE NEXT THREE YEARS

Madeira Regional Vice-President Pedro Calado said today that within three years the region could have “a real estate park for sale in excess of 600 properties”, as a result of the capture of investment.
“Maybe in the next three years Madeira may have a real estate park to offer for sale, in excess of 600 properties, that will be introduced in the market,” he said during the signing ceremony of a protocol with the Confederation of Construction and Real Estate of Portuguese Official Language (CIMLOP), in Funchal.
The minister considered that the protocol will allow capture of investment in other markets.
“We can not grow if we do not have reproductive investment in the region and if we can not attract more residents here to Madeira,” he said.
The executive intends to make known the “good real estate developments” that exist in the region, but also wants to “demonstrate to international investors that Madeira continues to have, and is increasingly able to attract this investment.”
The protocol signed today aims to define the conditions for mutual cooperation between the Government Vice-Presidency and CIMLOP in order to enhance economic relations and investment in the construction and real estate sectors in the markets of Portuguese-speaking countries.
“To take nationally, with an international projection, what Madeira today has much to offer, which is the investment”, declared the minister, who reiterated the executive’s commitment to be “always on the side of entrepreneurs, because they are the ones who have the responsibility of, together with the Regional Government, to fight for economic development. “
