Entries for the 23 activities made available this year, within the Nature Festival, are practically depleted until Sunday, in a demand that has exceeded all expectations and confirms the commitment made by the Regional Government in this poster, in an edition which is enriched in its quantity and quality and also in its spatial comprehensiveness by integrating Porto Santo for the first time.
On this second day, marked by the experiences related to the sea and the mountains and with new features introduced in the Program – as was the case with horseback riding (Santo da Serra) or diving in Aquário (Porto Moniz) – were again many who joined to the actions of this Tourism Poster, developed a little throughout the Region.
In total, more than 250 people have already participated in these two days, and for this Friday, October 5, 205 participants have been enrolled in a party atmosphere that, according to the Regional Secretary for Tourism and Culture, Paula Cabaço, “celebrates, potentiates our natural wealth and heritage among those who visit us, while at the same time contributes to the growing affirmation of Madeira as an active tourism destination, thus fulfilling that which is the principal purpose of this tourist poster ‘.
To reinforce Madeira’s renown and projection as a destination of nature, to promote the unique experiences that can be enjoyed here throughout the year and to enhance the seals and distinctions that Madeira has (Laurissilva and Natural Reserves, among others) are the basis of this Festival which, of course, ‘enriches and diversifies the region’s tourist activity’, reinforces the governor, stressing that ‘the success of the programming developed so far is due to professionals, business and to the various partners who contributed to the event.
It is worth remembering that in this edition there are many new features that are highlighted in the Nature Festival Program, an event that will take place until next October 7, in a week in which the destination has an occupancy rate of 84%.
