Some Health Centers will be open on December 24 and 31.
The Health Service of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, SESARAM, EPE, informs that on 24, 25, 31 December 2018 and 1 January 2019, the time of hospital visits will be extended (from 12h00 to 15h00 and from 18h00 to 20h00) in order to provide a more joyful and harmonious Christmas spirit among the users, their families and friends.
The visits are very welcome and, at this particular time, certainly will be cause for great joy and comfort for the users.
The Health Service also informs that due to the point tolerance on December 24 and 31, the care in the Health Centers was readjusted as follows:
The Health Centers with Urgent Care Service maintain the normal functioning;
The health centers listed below will be available to assist the population, during the morning, from 08:00 am to 01:00 p.m., namely:
– All Health Centers of the Municipality of Funchal;
– All the Health Centers of the Municipality of Santa Cruz;
– Health Centers of Câmara de Lobos and Estreito de Câmara de Lobos;
– Dr. Tito Noronha Health Center (Canhas);
– Ponta do Sol Health Center.
In the Central Hospital of Funchal some services will not be available namely the Laboratory of Clinical Pathology, for the accomplishment of scheduled harvests, that is to say for routine analyzes. It should be noted that, regardless of the situations of tolerance of points, holidays, weekends and other situations that may occur, it is ensured the operation of the minimum services necessary for the safety and well-being of the users.
Accordingly, the application of point tolerance in SESARAM will occur without prejudice to the provision of all essential and indispensable services and activities, whether at the level of emergency services, hospitalization and urgent complementary diagnostic tests.
