GOVERNMENT APPROVES 20 MILLION FOR HMI

The Regional Government has decided to extend the scope of the Program for the Recovery of Degraded Property (PRID) to owners of single-family dwellings located in social housing units managed by the HMI for asbestos removal works.
The measure was announced by the regional secretary for Inclusion and Social Affairs, who was the spokesperson for the meeting of the Governing Council.
In addition to this, Rita Andrade also announced two new program contracts that provide for a contribution of 8.8 million that is intended for capital and interest repayments in 2019, from IHM loans to banks and IHRU.
For the Program for the Recovery of Degraded Property (PRID), 11 million are foreseen, between 2019 and 2022.
According to the official, the objective is “to maintain the strategy and the great bet in the rehabilitation and valorization of the buildings under the management of the HMI”. “It is important not to let these dwellings return to this state of degradation,” he added.
