It was to “end the year in beauty” that the owners of classic Italian cars, in particular Fiat, Madeiranians participated today in the last ‘Meeting-Café Italiano’ of 2018.
The meeting was organized by Amigos Fiat Madeira and took place between 11 and 13 hours on the promenade in front of the ‘Mamma Mia Restaurant’, on Estrada Monumental, 175.
According to the coordinator of Friends Fiat Madeira, Marco Leça, to JM, 20 vehicles, manufactured between the 60s and 80s, were present at this last meeting of the year. It was aimed “to strengthen and energize the bonds of friendship between the enthusiasts of the classic vehicles, fomenting the healthy coexistence between the people”. It also aims to contribute to the promotion of Madeira among those who visit it at this time.
It is recalled that this entity usually organizes these meetings on the last Sundays of each month.
Through a statement, the association makes a retrospective of 2018. “It was a year in which the diversity of proposals presented by various entities related to this sector was very comprehensive, given that we had offers for all tastes at events for classic cars” , one reads. And they are looking for a “at least equal level” year to 2019.
“For our part, Friends Fiat Madeira, our motto continues to be to encourage and support within our possibilities all initiatives aimed at promoting classic vehicles, in particular those of which we like most, namely those of Italian origin, in particular the Fiat, “they say.
