The House of the People of the Immaculate Heart of Mary promotes, on August 21, the 2nd Exhibition of the Bolo Do Caco and Homemade Bread of Madeira, to take place in the Gardens of Santa Luzia.
As for the first time, the event will introduce many of the various qualities of caco bread and homemade bread that is made in Madeira and Porto Santo.
“We intend to shoe the genuine produce of Porto Santo, the chapels, santana bread, black bread, rye bread, rye, onion, rosquila, banana bread, among others,” he said. the House of the People, adding that it will be “about 30” qualities on display.
The institution also intends to divulge and preserve what is natural of the earth.
The opening of the event is scheduled for 11 am, including reception to the governing bodies.
Following are performances such as the Folklore Group of the Cultural Center of Santo António and the Association of Teatro do Livramento and the Group of Theater of the Csaa of the people of Machico.
Also invited are the Duo Onda Mar, with Jaime and Joana Roque, the Folklore Group of the House of the People of São Martinho, the Group of Songs of the House of the People of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the ‘Green Limão’ Group of the House of the People of São Martinho, the Group Sons of Tradition and Buxico and its Band.
There will also be a colloquium alluding to the theme ‘Bread – old and new concepts’.
