Madeira Island Information was inaugurated so that there was one single website / App ( translated in 4 languages) where everyone from a tourist to a local resident can find their way around the island from events to news to information to a GPS activated directory of local companies, bringing Madeira Island into the 21st century where traditionally information has always been through local knowledge and word of mouth.

The team at Madeira Island Information were inspired by the Beautiful island of Madeira. A place where time has stood still, but where its greatest strength – it’s untouched / unspoilt natural habitat and way of living is also it’s greatest weakness where information is very hard to come by as it’s still conveyed through word of mouth. We have therefore set about creating a comprehensive directory, news and information site of Madeira Island based on all the years of experience on the island and the network of people we have had the pleasure of meeting.
