The Botanical Garden of Madeira

VISITOR INFORMATION The Botanical Garden of Madeira – Eng. Rui Vieira is owned by the Autonomous Region of Madeira and is part of the Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation, IP-RAM. With an area of approximately 8 ha, of which 5 are landscaped, it is located about 3 km from the center of Funchal, at the top of the left bank of the Ribeira João Gomes, between 150 and 300 m high.
